In the 'Advanced' Journal one of the features is 'scripture memorisation'. You can enter any scriptures that you want to commit to memory for a particular month or you can use our list below.

January

  1. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
  2. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Phil 4:8
  3. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Heb 11:1

February

  1. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer 29:11
  2. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7-8
  3. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Cor 5:17

March

  1. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Rom 8:28
  2. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Josh 1:9
  3. If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom 10:9

April

  1. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Phil 4:13
  2. Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isa 40:31
  3. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

May

  1. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Prov 3:5-6
  2. He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isa 53:5
  3. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Tim 1:7

June

  1. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Rom 12:2
  2. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness 2 Tim 3:16
  3. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb 11:6

July

August

September

  1. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Gal 5:22,23

October

  2. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10
  3. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Heb 4:12

November

  1. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
  2. God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Cor 10:13
  3. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 8:38-39

December

  1. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
